CUSTOMER MARKETING ENGINEER

Description & Desired Skills
Responsible for being the primary factory customer interface, driving revenue and market share by marketing Simtek’s products to OEM’s and distributors.  The mission for this person is to take ownership over the company’s tactical marketing duties, seeking new customers in existing markets and identifying new market opportunities thus far undeveloped by Simtek.

Tactical Marketing

  • Work with operations and sales team to drive resolution of customer issues
  • Develop marketing collateral including datasheets, product briefs, application notes, Powerpoint presentations, and white papers
  • Develop trade show materials, attend trade shows and conferences
  • Assist in the development of a design opportunity, design win, sales lead follow-up system
  • Deliver market segmentation analysis, market trends & opportunities analysis
  • Assist in the development of advertising strategies & execution for both print and on line advertising.

REQUIREMENTS & EDUCATION
A technical degree, pref. a BSEE, MBA a plus.
Minimum of 5 yrs semiconductor marketing experience.

SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR

Job Description

  • Position is systems administration and network support for a 50+ user environment based on Microsoft Windows, Sun Solaris, and Redhat Linux
  • The Systems Administrator will to be part of a team responsible for all IT equipment at Simtek
  • The Systems Administration team creates and sets up new users’ hardware and software environments on Windows
  • The Systems Administration team deploys and configures new hardware supporting the enterprise
  • The Systems Administration team diagnoses problems with computers, including hardware and software, e-mail, network and peripheral equipment problems; makes repairs and corrections

REQUIREMENTS

  • Excellent interpersonal and customer-service skills and dedication to customer satisfaction
  • Strong knowledge of LANs, desktop and server hardware
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows, and TCP/IP networks
  • A willingness to learn new systems and technologies, and be part of a team supporting a growing company

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

  • Associates Degree in IT or related field and 2+ years experience, or High School Diploma and 4+ years experience
  • Microsoft and A+ Certifications a plus
  • Familiarity with Unix a plus, but not required
